JFJ Aviation & Defence receives research contract from armasuisse

JFJ Aviation & Defence GmbH is pleased to announce a new
cooperation with armasuisse, the Swiss Federal Office for Defense Procurement. The project focuses on the development of a vestibular-visual performance system to support the resilience and movement tolerance of pilots.

Using the existing Triplex mechanical platform in combination with VR-based flight profile visualization, the system will simulate realistic motion stimuli - such as rolls and cross-coupling maneuvers - without the need for motorized actuation or complex electronics.
A custom software interface manages subject data, motion profiles and performance metrics.

This is the aim of the research:

  • to maintain the robustness of movement in trained pilots,
  • improve the spatial orientation tolerance of non-pilots,
  • evaluate the effects on concentration and cognitive performance under exercise stress.

This modular, cost-effective solution forms the basis for scalable future improvements. JFJ is proud to partner
with armasuisse in the advancement of human performance research in aviation.
