JFJ A&D is pleased to announce the award of a new contract from Politechnika Śląska (Silesian University of Technology), Poland, for the delivery of a Star SPOT-based research system.
The system will be designed as a dedicated research platform for investigating interactions occurring during the performance of aviation tasks in a simulated environment, placing scientific research at the core of the project.
At the heart of the research station is JFJ A&D’s Star SPOT – Spatial Orientation Trainer. Combining a dynamic motion system, visual simulation and representative cockpit environments, Star SPOT provides researchers with a controlled and reproducible environment for conducting experimental studies.
The new system will support research into areas such as human performance, spatial orientation and disorientation, perception and human-machine interaction during simulated aviation tasks. Its flexible configuration will allow researchers to develop different experimental scenarios and investigate how pilots respond to changing conditions and sensory inputs.
The project demonstrates the versatility of the Star SPOT platform, extending its application beyond spatial orientation training into advanced scientific research. By combining realistic simulation with a research-oriented system architecture, the platform can contribute to a deeper understanding of human factors and performance in aviation.
The contract award represents another important milestone for JFJ A&D in the development of specialised aviation research and simulation systems.
We would like to thank Politechnika Śląska for their trust in JFJ A&D and look forward to working closely with their team on the successful implementation of this exciting research project.
